Wide Temperature Range Resistance: The operating temperature range of basalt fiber tape extends from -269 to 700 °C (with a softening point of 960 °C). It maintains 80% of its original strength at 600 °C and does not shrink even when exposed to temperatures up to 860 °C. This broad temperature tolerance makes it suitable for applications where extreme temperatures are encountered.
Low Thermal Conductivity: With a thermal conductivity of 0.031-0.038 W/m·K, basalt fiber tape outperforms aramid fiber, aluminum silicate fiber, alkali-free glass fiber, rock wool, silicon fiber, carbon fiber, and stainless steel. Its low thermal conductivity provides superior thermal insulation capabilities, making it valuable for applications requiring thermal insulation.
