The core protective functions of the Exhaust Heat Shield focus on four key aspects, all centered on reducing various risks caused by the high temperature of the exhaust pipe.​
First is heat insulation and cooling. When the exhaust pipe is in operation, its temperature rises significantly. The Exhaust Heat Shield can effectively block heat from spreading outward, preventing surrounding components from being in a high-temperature environment for a long time. For example, wires and plastic parts in the vehicle engine compartment, or other components next to industrial equipment, can all be less affected by high-temperature baking due to the protection of the heat shield.​
Second is protecting surrounding components. High temperatures may cause surrounding components to age, deform or even be damaged. By isolating heat, the Exhaust Heat Shield can extend the service life of these components, reduce the frequency of fault repairs caused by high temperatures, and lower the maintenance cost of equipment or vehicles.​
Third is improving safety. If a high-temperature exhaust pipe comes into direct contact with flammable materials, it may cause a fire hazard. The heat shield can reduce the external surface temperature of the exhaust pipe, avoiding scalds caused by accidental contact with personnel. At the same time, it reduces the safety risk when in contact with flammable materials, which is particularly effective in narrow installation spaces.​
Fourth is reducing heat loss. For some equipment that needs to utilize exhaust heat, the heat shield can reduce heat dissipation, help maintain the thermal efficiency of the exhaust system, indirectly improve the overall operation effect of the equipment, and prevent the impact on service performance due to heat waste.
