How To Clean The Muffler Insulation Jacket
Nov 06, 2024| The Muffler Insulation Jacket is very important for its normal use and performance maintenance. Proper cleaning can extend its life.
When there is only dust on the insulation sleeve, we can use a soft brush to clean it. Gently brush and the dust will fall off. For ceramic fiber insulation sleeves, soft brushes will not damage its internal fiber structure. If there is a lot of dust and it is difficult to brush, you can also use a hair dryer with cold air, about 15-20 cm away from the Muffler Insulation Jacket, and move while blowing to let the dust be blown away evenly.
If there are oil stains or other stains on the insulation sleeve, choose a mild detergent. For example, for glass fiber insulation sleeves, use a solution mixed with detergent and water in a ratio of 1:10. Dip a soft cloth in the solution and gently wipe the stain. The action should be gentle, otherwise the insulation sleeve may be deformed or damaged. If it is a special material insulation sleeve, a special detergent must be used. This depends on the product manual or the manufacturer.
After wiping the stain, rinse the Muffler Insulation Jacket with clean water, rinse with a small stream of water, and do not use a high-pressure water gun. After rinsing, let the insulation cover dry fully. You can put it in a well-ventilated place to dry naturally, but not in direct sunlight. If you want it to dry faster, you can use a low-temperature hot air blower. The temperature of the ceramic fiber insulation cover should be controlled at 50-70℃, and the temperature of the glass fiber insulation cover should be controlled at 40-60℃. Turn the insulation cover over during drying to ensure that it is evenly dried. In this way, the cleaned insulation cover can play a better role.
