Basalt Fiber Mat

Basalt Fiber Mat is a new high-performance inorganic eco-friendly fiber product fabricated from pure natural basalt ore via a series of processes including high-temperature melting, fiber drawing, web forming, needle punching and adhesive setting. Containing no harmful chemical additives whatsoever, the product has a softening point of 980°C and a maximum sustainable operating temperature of 850°C. It features outstanding properties such as high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, high mechanical strength, sound absorption and noise reduction, as well as electrical and thermal insulation. With an available thickness of up to 25 mm, this lightweight and flexible material is widely applied in industrial high-temperature protection, equipment thermal insulation, building fire protection, composite material reinforcement, dust removal and filtration, making it a premium eco-friendly thermal insulation and flame-retardant substrate for harsh industrial working conditions.In terms of packaging, standard rolled products are packaged with woven bags and fixed on pallets, while custom-shaped components are packed in cartons.

Instructions For Use

Cutting Processing

The standard product widths are 1.2 m and 1.5 m. The mat can be easily cut with conventional tools such as utility knives and scissors to fit various irregular and custom dimensions. The cut edges remain neat and effectively resist fiber fraying.

Fitting and Installation

Suitable for direct wrapping and laying applications with thicknesses of 5 mm to 25 mm, the mat can also be firmly fixed with high-temperature adhesives, fasteners or rivets as required by working conditions.

Composite Processing

It can be laminated with aluminum foil, silica gel coatings and fiberglass fabrics to improve waterproofing, light reflection and wear resistance for specialized working conditions.

Storage & Application

The product can be stored in a normal room-temperature and dry environment. With a rated operating temperature of up to 850°C, the mat can be used directly after unpacking without any pre-processing treatment before construction.

 

Precautions

Avoid direct and long-term contact with strong acid and strong alkali solutions to prevent chemical corrosion and performance degradation.

Handle the product carefully during transportation to prevent compression and permanent deformation.
