What is a Heat Shield
Dec 05, 2023| An insulated jacket is a flexible shield that comes in a variety of shapes and sizes. We offer thermal insulation jackets for machinery that protect both equipment and personnel. Depending on the material chosen, the installed thermal insulation jacket should be protected against condensation, dust and moisture, high temperatures (including welding sparks, chemical stress, etc.).
Thermal insulation jackets are multi-layer structures with thermal insulation effect, which are designed and produced in combination according to the customer's diameter and length specifications. In addition to choosing the right fabric, a wide range of accessories for closed structures are also available: parts such as velcro, metal buckles, hooks and loops for easy (re)installation.
The ends of the thermal insulation jacket can also be treated differently. Proper closure can be achieved by providing stainless steel clamp straps, elastic bands, drawstrings, Velcro, and metal buckles for the heat shield.
Thermal insulation jackets are used in a wide range of applications, such as automotive, accessories, (flanged) couplings, pipes, filters, steam turbines, heat exchangers, compensators, motors and pumps. The main application is the prevention of heat loss and thus ensures optimal and continuous operation management. In addition, the thermal insulation jacket protects the external environment even at very high temperatures and provides personnel safety.
